SAIC Finds Security with Jullien Enterprises
SAIC, one of the nationís largest research and engineering firms, announced this week the acquisition of Jullien Enterprises, a security systems integration firm specializing in complex onsite installations, for undisclosed terms.
SAIC, known for its IT systems integration and extensive outsourcing capabilities, generated about $5.9 billion in 2003 fiscal year revenue. The companyís security-focused business units include a Safety and Security Products Division, which sells everything from portable x-ray machines to contraband detection systems.
The Jullien acquisition is meant to increase the companyís ability to respond to large-scale security projects with a physical installation component.
Using the URL www.securityguys.com, Jullien Enterprises has engineered, installed and integrated security systems in highly sensitive environments like the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games main operating center, Dulles Airport, NASA's headquarters, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters. The company reported 2001 revenues of $10.9 million.
Jullien will join SAICís Telecommunications Technology Group.
